The official renaming of a local road in memory of the late Brendan Uí Dhufaigh will take place tomorrow evening.
The L14105, from Old Cross Square to The Monaghan Harps GAA grounds, is set to be re-named "Slí Ógie Uí Dhufaigh", or "Ógie Ó Dufaigh Way".
The 19-year-old Monaghan GAA star lost his life in a road traffic collision on the N2 in July of last year, while on his way home from a game.
The official renaming ceremony, to coincide with his first anniversary, will take place tomorrow evening at 7.30 at the Monaghan Harps club house.
All attendees are asked to park in the Monaghan Harps carpark and walk back up to the bridge area for the ceremony.
A plaque will also be unveiled in Brendan's memory, alongside a book launch by Brendan's father which is about grief and loss, but also about Monaghan Harps GAA club.
