The official opening of a €3 million extension to St Clare's College in Ballyjamesduff has taken place this afternoon.
Tánaiste, Minister for Defence and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Micheál Martin and Minister of State for Special Education and Inclusion, Josepha Madigan were in attendance alongside Bishop Martin Hayes.
The completed project includes a sensory room and garden, ASD and SET classrooms, a library and two playgrounds.
Over 440 students are currently enrolled in the local national school.
Principal Karl McCartin says it's great to have the facility now up and running for the pupils of the County Cavan School.
Meanwhile, Minister of special education and inclusion Josepha Madigan says it's great to see this much needed and welcome facility at St Clare's open and she highlighted how important that these facilities are for children right across the country.
