Monaghan County Council say they are still receiving pledges of properties under the 'Offer a home' scheme. The scheme was launched to offer people coming from Ukraine a home to stay in while the war continues in their home country.
To date the local authority say they have had a total number of 51 properties pledged. Of these 26 have been allocated, 9 were subsequently withdrawn, 7 were assessed as not viable due to works required to bring them up to standard.
The remaining 9 are currently being assessed or are in the process of having works carried out to allow for the homes to be used in the effort to house Ukrainians fleeing war.
