Gemma O’Doherty and John Waters will have to pay yet another legal bill following their latest failed attempt to bring a court challenge to the Covid-19 laws.
Last month, the Court of Appeal refused to overturn a previous decision not to allow them to challenge the constitutionality of the emergency legislation.
And today, the same court ordered them to pay for that failed appeal.
They claimed they shouldn’t have to because of their contention that their case was in the public interest, but the judges disagreed.
Today’s decision comes on top of a previous order for them to pay the other side’s fees for last year’s two-day hearing before the High Court.
