Nursing staff in Cavan and Monaghan hospitals have received an award for their work during the Covid-19 pandemic.
They received the Daisy Foundation Award in recent days for the care, compassion and courage shown over recent months.
The Foundation was set up in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died of an auto-immune disease in the US in 1999.
His family set up the foundation and award scheme in memory of him and in recognition of the care and attention he and they received from nursing staff.
