Nurses and midwives at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda have received pay rise won last year.
While most nurses and midwives in Ireland have received the increases achieved through strike action in 2019 Our Lady of Lourdes had been slow to make the payments resulting in the INMO going to the Workplace Relations Commission for resolution in July.
Several thousands of euros are owed to staff, but hospital management have confirmed this week that up to 90% of staff will be paid before Christmas with the remainder paid before the New Year.

INMO Industrial Relations Officer for the area, Maurice Sheehan, has stated it should never have taken this long and staff should be paid urgently.
