The number of people on the live register in both Cavan and Monaghan has decreased in February from the first month of 2021.
According to the Central Statistics Office figures the numbers of people signing on in January in Monaghan County was 2,268 this has decreased to 2,251 in February.
Of this number 696 of those registering were residing in the Castleblayney area and 496 in the Carrickmacross area.
In Cavan there were 93 fewer people signing on in the county between January and February.
Which has led to the rate decreasing to 3,000, with Ballyconnell registering the lowest rate of people below the age of 25 in the county at 61.
On an annual basis, the rate is down 76 in Cavan and 51 in Monaghan.
