The number of patients with Covid-19 in Cavan General Hospital increased by almost 20 over the last week.
The HSE data shows 22 people were being treated on Saturday night.
Cavan and Monaghan now have similar 14-day incidence rates of Covid-19 at 303.3 and 303 respectively.
There had been concern over a rapid increase in cases in Monaghan over recent weeks, however, that now appears to have slowed.
But Cavan has now seen an increasing number of cases with 80 recorded on Saturday.
Cavan General Hospital this week saw a confirmed outbreak of Covid-19 involving staff and patients.
The latest county breakdown shows 1,164 cases recorded in Cavan from the beginning of the pandemic up to Friday, with another 814 in Monaghan.
