The number of new cars sold in Cavan and Monaghan in May fell by a quarter when compared with 2019.
The Society of the Motor Industry in Ireland published its monthly breakdown which shows another dramatic fall in the number of new cars sold.
Monaghan saw a drop of over 26 per cent in the number of new cars sold in May. It saw a 450 sold, down from 610 in May 2019.
Cavan saw a drop of 24 per cent with 618 new cars sold. That's down from 817 in the same month last year.
