The number of patients with Covid-19 in Cavan General Hospital has fallen by almost half over the last week.
The latest HSE report shows little change in most other local hospitals over the last seven days.
The report shows as of 8pm last night 16 patients with Covid-19 were being treated in Cavan Hospital. That's a drop from 27 the previous Sunday.
Cavan General was among the hospitals treating the highest number of Covid patients in the country for much of October after a number of outbreaks in the county.
In other hospitals in the region, Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda was treating 22 patients last night, with 17 in Galway University Hospital and 11 in Our Lady's Navan.
Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe was treating seven patients with Covid, while both Sligo and Mullingar had four Covid positive patients.
