A Castleblayney based business is working alongside the ETB in Cavan and Monaghan to deliver employment opportunities for young people in the renewable energy sector. The local business recently took a giant leap towards a greener future by acquiring Galway-based JFW Renewables. Conor Foley who is the Chief Executive of NRG Panel believes that the acquisition of JFW Renewables "solidifies" their commitment to sustainable energy solutions, amplifying their efforts to revolutionise the renewable energy landscape in Ireland and beyond.
Speaking to Northern Sound in relation to providing employment opportunities for the younger generation across Cavan and Monaghan, Mr Foley stated; "We've been working with the ETB in Cavan/Monaghan and we've developed a construction and technology course which is a level 5 QQI. The course specialises in renewable energies and we're actually developing a facility just outside Monaghan Town to help with the training. We hope to start recruiting now in the next 4 - 6 weeks with the course starting in September and running through to May. We're hoping to take in about 16 trainees and the good new for the trainees is that upon successful completion of the course they'll be guaranteed a job here with NRG and JFW so it's a real success."
