A 13 week long “Do Not Consume” notice has been lifted for the Mountainlodge Group Water Scheme.
The notice was first introduced on July 10th after elevated levels of aluminium and manganese were detected in drinking supplies.
This morning, following consultation with the HSE, Cavan County Council removed the notice for customers in Laragh, Tunnyduff, Poles and Mountainlodge.
The water is now safe for drinking and food preparation, however homeowners are asked to run hot and cold taps for at least thirty minutes to flush the system if it hasn’t been used since July.
