According to the local artist, a summer spent in Ireland in her 20s became a 13-year love affair with the country as she now lives and works from her studio in Inniskeen.

This year the winners will be announced at an event in the Garage Theatre in Monaghan on Sunday 12th November and nomination entries close on Friday 29th September at 5pm.

New figures from the Department of Education, show that there were 190 primary school pupils in classes with 30 or more students in Cavan and 230 primary school pupils in classes with 30 or more students in Monaghan for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The organisation is putting up a marquee in the green space where members of the public can come and talk to co-ordinators and members of staff from SOSAD.

The event will take place from 2pm to 5pm at the Ardaghy Community Centre.
