A north Monaghan Tidy Towns group has hit out at recent vandalism.
A number of illegal dumping incidents and acts of damage were reported in Tydavnet over the past week.
As well as household waste being left in the public bins, decorative signs on the approach roads of the village were broken.
Branches were also broken off a young tree opposite St Dympna's Church.
The incidents aren't isolated to the village, with other Tidy Towns groups in the region reporting similar cases over the past few weeks.
In a post on social media, the Tydavnet Village Community Centre said "it is a sad reflection" on society that some people would "get their kicks" this way.
