Cavan County Council has opened nominations for the Cathaoirleach's Award Scheme 2024. The awards are for exceptional involvement, achievement, effort, or service in a voluntary or unpaid capacity in Co Cavan.
The six award categories include, Social Inclusion, Contribution to the Arts, Contribution to Local Heritage and Biodiversity - which is open to schools and local groups, Community, Sports, and Older People over the age of 55. An award winner will be selected in each of the categories with an overall winner who will receive a prize of €1,000 for their group.
Eligible groups can apply online at the following link: https://consult.cavancoco.ie/en/applications. The latest date for receipt of completed application forms online is 5pm on Friday, March 1st.
