Obstetricians have been told to monitor pregnant women who have had Covid-19.
It's emerged that four women may have had stillbirths as a result of a condition linked to the virus.
Two of the women are based in the east of the country and two are based in the south.
But Dr Ronan Glynn says the details around the stillbirths have not yet been confirmed.
He says officials will wait for more information before changing any health advice.
