No objections have been made over plans to develop a business hub in Clones.
Monaghan County Council had recently published a Compulsory Purchase Order for the former Cinema site on Fermanagh Street.
In May 2021, planning permission was approved for the local authority to build a two-storey 632 square metre office space in Clones town.
It would be located at the former Cinema site and include the development of a new public realm space adjacent to the site.
The site is part of works by the local authority to revitalise Fermanagh Street and the border town as a whole, and will act as a business hub for the area.
As part of the development, Monaghan County Council published a CPO to acquire the land with no objections being received.
This has left the project free to proceed to the next stage.
