There was no joy for Monaghan’s Caitriona Balfe at the Irish Film and TV Awards last night.
The ceremony was held virtually last night, to celebrate the best of Irish talent on the big and small screen.
Caitriona Balfe was nominated for Best Actress in a Lead Role in the drama category for her part in the Outlander TV series, and for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the film category for her role in Le Mans ‘66.
However she didn’t scoop either IFTA prize.
Elsewhere, Ordinary Love took home best film, with Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Jessie Buckley being named best Actor and Actress.
