Damien English will not be investigated by the State's ethics watchdog.
That's despite the former Junior Minister resigning in January after he admitted lying on a planning application for his family home.
Today's Sunday Independent reports that 'SIPO' - the Standards in Public Office Commission concluded that the Fine Gael Deputy complied with the Ethics in Public Office Act in his annual declarations, and a complaint against him wasn't of 'sufficient gravity' to warrant investigation.
