The facility is almost ready to go with a date for opening of the 1st of October still in sight.

It follows a local mother raising her concerns this week over school bus services in Cavan ahead of the start of the school year.

According to the local TD, these plans include the addition of later evening weekday services, an introduction of Sunday services, and connecting Crossakiel to the Transport for Ireland (TFI) network.

The grants allow organisations with limited or no access to other forms of public funding to pay for music classes, instruments and other equipment.

The local TD says accountability is now paramount to restore the trust and confidence which is expected of a public service broadcaster.

The credit will be available in respect of the 2023 tax year only and is based on the increase in interest paid in 2023 over interest paid in 2022.
