New toilet facilities have been announced for Rossmore Park.
Minister Heather Humphreys department has secured the funding required for a new two unit wheelchair accessible toilet block which will be installed over the coming weeks. Cllr David Maxwell, Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council says this will be a great add on to the attraction of the park and help maintain Rossmore park as the number one visited park in the country.
A recent funding announcement by Minister Humphreys will now allow for the extension of the playground at the popular park. Cllr Maxwell says the lack of toilet facilities is a serious inconvenience, particularly for families with young children using the playground and he says he has been working with Minister Humphreys and Coillte on this for a number of months.
The Fine Gael councillor says he expects to see the new toilets installed in the next month or so.
