New speed limits have been introduced across a number of roads in Cavan.
The bye-laws came into effect yesterday.
The changes all relate to the National Road Network through the county.
The speed limit on the N3 in Cavan town from the roundabout at the Hotel Kilmore to the roundabout at the Cavan Crystal has increased from 50km/h to 60km/h.
On the N3 from Virginia town to Maghera, the limit has decreased from 100km/h to 80km/h.
A similar reduction has been introduced on the N54 from Plush to Butlersbridge village.
A section of the N55 either side of Killydoon village, from Ballytrust Lower and to Glascarrick has also had the speed limit reduced to 80km/h.
The N87 from the Fermanagh/Cavan border to Staghall Belturbet is now an 80km/h road, with the exception of Bawnboy village to the outskirts of Ballyconnell, which will remain at 100km/h.
