Everyone is invited to attend an information evening in Monaghan Institute to learn more about a new traineeship programme in renewable construction technologies. The event is being hosted by local business success story, NRG Panels and CMETB who, together have developed a new traineeship course which will lead to qualifications and employment for local people.
The course is open to everyone from school-leavers to people who fancy a career change or even students who have found their course is not what they expected. Participants will gain a QQI Level 5 qualification major award in Construction Technology, and work experience with NRG Panels and the opportunity of a job at the end of the programme is available to successful candidates.
The open evening takes place at Monaghan Institute tomorrow, Wednesday, 31st July from 6:30pm. Recruitment Officer Michelle Tilson explains why its a worthwhile course for many listeners: "So, it's a QQI level 5 major award construction technology so, they're going to do things like building construction module, a renewable energy systems module and installing thermal insulation module," Michelle explained, "And, then there's a QQI L:evel 6 module as well. Solar panel installation qualification so, it's a great opportunity to get a qualification as well as work experience."
