The Health Service Executive (HSE ) has confirmed this week that works on the Primary Care Centre in Killeshandra will be completed within weeks. It says equipping the new health facility will take four weeks and the Centre is expected to be operational by the end of January.
Cavan Monaghan TD, Deputy Brendan Smith, says he has met with officials from the health authority to move the project forward. He pointed out how imperative it was that the centre was up and running by the start of 2023.
Deputy Smith added the new facility will prove to be of great benefit to the people of the wider Killeshandra area. "In further representations to the HSE and at a recent meeting with senior officials, I highlighted again the need for the time lines to be adhered to as much as is practicable. This new centre must be operational early in 2023," he said.
