The new managers of Cootehill Mart say they have been overwhelmed by the good reaction they have received.
Cootehill Livestock Mart will be run by Geoffrey Drury and his son Steven.
They've taken out a 10 year lease on the site after the previous operators Jimmy and Carmel O'Reilly announced last month they would not continue to run it.
Geoffrey is well known in the mart having worked there since the 1980s.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound today, Steven said it's hoped sales will begin at the end of March but a licence must be obtained from the Department first.
He said they're looking forward to reopening the mart and they're delighted with the reaction its reopening has gotten:
