The new marina extension on the shores of Lough Ramor was officially launched by Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphreys on Saturday.
The project cost €750,000 and was funded by two Cavan Leader Grants of €200,000 - but the highlight was the €350,000 contribution from the Club - which it raised itself.
During Saturday's proceedings, Minister Humphreys described the project as "unique", and she commended Ramor Watersports Club for the work it put into bringing the project to fruition.
John Wilson, Commodore of Ramor Watersports Club, said the marina extension was two years in the making, and it was local support that eventually got it across the line.
He added there is a new "appreciation" for the outdoors locally and the Club is now on track to host the Inclusion Games in 2024.
"In the last two or three years - without mentioning the C-word - we have all come to appreciate the outdoors and what is in the here in the now. We are all busy rushing from A to B and don't take time to live in the now.
"The last two years has taught us all to do that; there is nothing more relaxing than being on water. I find that when I come off the water any annoyances, bother or troubles that are in my head have run out through the soles of my feet.
"And I come back in totally refreshed and calm," he added.
