Monaghan County Library Service has launched a new service called - My Library App. Speaking to Northern Sound about the initiative, Deirdriu McQuaid of the Monaghan County Council Library Service believes that the new app will allow people more access to the library service, particularly in terms of borrowing books.
According to Deirdriu, it's important to make local library services as "accessible as possible" for people throughout Co Monaghan. She added that locals can also avail of the local community app at any time, any place and no matter where they are in the world.
"There's so many things you can do with this app," explained Deirdriu. "Especially in terms of helping those who are isolated."
