A new Hen's Shed opened in Ballinagh on Thursday evening last and a large gathering of women of all ages living locally turned up for the inaugural meeting.
The Shed will provide for a safe, sociable and fun space for women who become involved.
Organiser, Laura Brady told Shannonside Northern Sound, that there's a demand for the service which can access funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development.
Laura says members will collaborate with the local community on projects and engage in "fun and exciting" initiatives in-house.
She added, the Shed will cater for women of all ages and with all interests.
"I worked closely with the PPN (Public Participation Network) and their job is to reach out because we have so many resources and I see what grants are available in my daily job. For instance there's a heritage week coming up. I think we can collaborate with charities and different Tidy Towns and we could do a lot of good. I'm having a great time and it feels good to give back".
