A new Garda Superintendent has been appointed in Cavan.
Padraig Jones has taken over the role in the Cavan Division after the retirement of Jimmy Coen.
The Longford native has previously served in the Roscommon-Longford Division as an Inspector.
Meanwhile, Inspector in Monaghan Adrian Durcan will also move to Cavan.
It's part of a number of recent changes in the Cavan-Monaghan Division recently.
Superintendent Gareth Walsh took over in the Carrickmacross Division and Superintendent John O'Flaherty has been appointed to detective duties across the two counties.
