The North-East Regional Enterprise Plan for Cavan, Louth, and Monaghan is being launched today by Minister for Social Protection and Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys; and Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English.
The event is taking place at the Cavan Digital Hub on the outskirts of the town.
Meanwhile, the North-East Regional Enterprise Plan is one in a series of nine new Regional Enterprise Plans to 2024.
Total funding of up to €180m will be made available to develop and implement collaborative and innovation enterprise projects across regions that will support sustainable jobs and drive implementation of the plans.
The Plans have been developed by regional steering committees, which are chaired by a senior figures in the enterprise agencies, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices.
Speaking yesterday, Minister Humphreys said the plan was a "bottom up" approach that would bring all stakeholders "together".
"It's about a joined-up approach so that everyone is working together to build on the region's strengths as well as identifying weaknesses," she said.
"We also want to develop an ecosystem that allows industry and business to thrive and attract foreign investment into the region."
