Dog ownership has risen during the pandemic as more people are at home but Monaghan's dog warden has issued a warning to new owners.
Brendan Smyth says people need to make sure their dog is trained and is kept under control and that it is microchipped, something that is now a legal requirement. A dog licence is also required by law.
