A new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been installed by Monaghan County Council in the entrance area of the Peace Campus. According to Monaghan County Council, the defibrillator is a "lifesaving" piece of equipment which will be a "great asset" to the local community of Monaghan Town.
When someone suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, it delivers a shock to the heart to allow it to resume its normal rhythm. The defibrillator is a welcomed new addition to the €22 million peace campus which was officially opened in Monaghan Town back in May. The four storey community building located in the heart of Monaghan town has been under construction since July 2020.
