A new classroom has been confirmed for Scoil Mhichil, Ardaghey.
Senator Robbie Gallagher received the news about the extension from the Department of Education earlier this week. According to Senator Gallagher, the initial project approval was announced for one mainstream classroom and two SET, or Special Education, rooms under the additional classroom accommodation scheme. The project will be managed through the devolved delivery mechanism. Speaking to Northern Sound, the Fine Gael representative "congratulated" all involved. He added that an "enormous" amount of work has been carried out by the Principal, Board of Management, staff, parents and the school community in developing and building the school to get to this stage: "I look forward to this project moving on to construction and eventually into use by the staff and pupils of the school."
