Lakelands Dairies has appointed a new chief operating officer in Niall Gallagher.
According to a statement from the local co-op, Mr Gallagher "brings considerable experience from a long and successful operational and commercial career in the dairy industry."
He previously held senior operations, strategic and commercial roles at the Kerry Group after joining the company in 2010, overseeing UK and Ireland operations across multiple production sites.
Lakeland Dairies collects 2bn litres of high-quality milk from 3,200 farm families across 17 counties in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The co-operative serves more than 100 global markets with 240 products. A native of Co. Sligo, Niall holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering. He lives in Co. Tyrone with his wife and their two children.
