The new Cavan Volunteer Centre will be officially opened this evening by Minister Heather Humphreys.
The centre was previously closed for one year temporarily and will reopen to the delight of many today with a new management team also on board.
The new office is located at 2 College Street, at the corner of Wolfe Tone Street and Coleman Road.
According to volunteer Vanda Brady, the centre provides a free service for those who wish to undertake volunteer work and is at the centre of community life.
The volunteer centre also presents volunteer opportunities to over 100 Ukrainians and five other nationalities.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Vanda revealed that people are over the moon to see the much-loved centre back up and running once more.
She added that despite the temporary closure, people remain more than willing to give their time and help out in anyway they can:
