Venue Manager, Padraig McEntire said there was a vision for the newly refurbished Cavan Town Hall Arts Centre.
He was speaking during the building’s official launch by Minister Heather Humphreys and Cathaorileach, Cllr Clifford Kelly this afternoon.
Mr McEntire told those gathered that the Town Hall Team wanted everyone to work together to make the arts - in all its forms - accessible to all.
He added that it was now possible to achieve that from both hubs - Ramor Theatre and the Cavan venue.
"It is our vision - in keeping with the Arts Council policy - to place the artists at the centre of all the things we do across the two venues," continued Mr McEntire.
"And with three wonderful studios on our top floor here in the town hall, we know that we can make this happen.
"We can make this facility available to groups of artists so that they can develop their work."
Minister Heather Humphreys, meanwhile, said it was a "great pleasure" for her to officially launch the centre.
She recalled how on her first visit it was very clear that the building was in a bad state owing to all the leaks that were around her.
She said it served to impress upon her all the more, the need for funding to drive the concert that had been established by then on.
It is great, she added, to see the vision for the building become a reality.
"Many years ago when I made the announcement here I was announcing a €9m fund across the country under the Arts & Culture Capital Scheme.
"Seven of the projects that day were flagship projects including the Cavan Town Hall Arts Centre.
"At the time it received €750,000 investment."
