The new Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council says he's looking forward to seeing the region develop over the coming year.
Fianna Fail's Clifford Kelly was recently elected to the position, 23 years after his first term in charge.
The Kingscourt native said it's an "unusual and uncertain" time for a lot of people in Cavan, and he hopes the county doesn't "head in the wrong direction" in the fight against Covid-19.
Clifford Kelly praised the council staff and executive for their ongoing work in improving the county, and hopes it can continue over the next twelve months.
