The New Carrickmacross Primary Care Centre is due to be completed by late 2021.
The Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council, Colm Carthy, recently surveyed the site and its developer, Aiden Magill, said he is confident they can meet this date.
Work is due to commence on the roof in the coming weeks, after which internal works will begin.
In the new primary care centre, there will be provision for at least ten GPs and will also include mental health services and a dentistry clinic, as well as a physio and on-site chemist.
Work had been curtailed on the site due to covid-19, but Councillor Carthy told Shannonside Northern Sound that it's been "full steam ahead" in recent weeks:
