A new café looks set to be opened in the Peace Campus in Monaghan Town. The matter came to the fore at the most recent meeting of Monaghan County Council.
It was put to members that the council intended to open a supplementary bank account for café transactions to be put into. Although the opening of the account was approved, Cllr PJ O'Hanlon expressed concern at the cost of running it.
He said that it's not unfair to question the running costs and whether the facility will be profitable. As of yet there is no date set for the opening or intended completion date of the new café
