A new school building is to be delivered for Gaelscoil Lorgan in Castleblayney.
Minister for Education, Norma Foley made the announcement in relation to the Monaghan school earlier today.
The project was recently approved by the Department to proceed to Stage 2b of the architectural planning process and the next step for the Design Team will be to obtain the statutory planning approvals.
Fianna Fáil TD for Cavan-Monaghan, Niamh Smyth, "welcomed" the confirmation and said she will "continue to liaise" with relevant stakeholders in order to monitor progress.
Deputy Smyth added that while at this early stage it is "not possible" to provide a timeline for completion of the project, CMETB will be "engaging directly" with the school authority to keep it informed of progress.
