Local celebrity chef Neven Maguire says "this year is all about survival" due to the covid-19 pandemic.
He said there was a "real dampener" amongst his staff and diners last night when news broke that NPHET had recommended the entire country be moved to Level 5 restrictions.
Under these restrictions, bars and restaurants would only be allowed to open for takeaway or delivery only.

Maguire said NPHET's advice came as a "shock" to himself and he fears many small businesses will never open again.
The Cavan Chef owns MacNean House and Restaurant in Blacklion, and he told The Joe Finnegan Show that an All-Ireland approach is essential for businesses like his own which are right along the border:
