NEDOC, the out-of-hours GP service for the Northern Sound region has issued its Christmas service opening hours.
The out-of-hours surgery service is available to patients of participating practices when their own surgery closes in the evening and whose care cannot wait until their own GP re-opens.
NEDOC will operate every evening until 8am on Friday, the 27th December.
Then again, from 6pm on Friday, the 27th until 8am the following morning.
It will be open the same hours from the evening of Friday, the 27th until 8 am on the morning of New Year's Eve. It will re-open on New Year's Eve again at 6pm, on New year's Day and Thursday, the 2nd of January operating until 8am of the following mornings.In a statement, the HSE for the north-east wanted to remind people in Cavan and Monaghan that GP surgeries will be open as normal on Friday 27th - Tuesday 29th inclusive.
They also remind people that NEDOC is not a walk -in service and is by appointment only.
