National Broadband Ireland has confirmed that over 2,900 Co Cavan properties in its Kilnaleck deployment area can now avail of high-speed fibre broadband connection. The area covers Kilnaleck, Ballyjamesduff and Crosskeys. Meanwhile, 17,000 premises across the county of Cavan are included in the State's Intervention Area, which will see NBI deliver minimum speeds of 500 megabits per second to homes, businesses, farms and schools.
Co Cavan is set to receive a €65M investment under the National Broadband Plan. Works have already been completed in other parts of the county and there are 6,760 premises that can now order high-speed, reliable broadband with 1,896 connections made to date so far.
