Gardai are advising motorists that following a collision on the N3 between Maghera and Virginia, the road is now closed.
An articulated truck left the road earlier this afternoon on the N3 between Maghera village and Virginia and it will be closed for a few hours to allow for it's removal from the roadside.
N3 northbound is being diverted at Maghera to the left and onto the Ballyjamesduff Road and onto Ballyjamesduff.
Southbound is being diverted via Whitegate Cross. Motorists are advised to plan an alternative route as The Virginia Show is also coming to a close, which will account for an increase in traffic in the area.
The road is expected to be fully closed for several hours and at the moment traffic is very heavy in the area and especially on the backroads in the area
