The N2 has reopened after a fatal crash between Carrickmacross and Ardee on Saturday night.
31-year-old Sarah Larkin was killed when her Audi left the road at around 10 to nine on Saturday night.
The mother of two from Ardee was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where a post mortem is expected to take place.
The road had been closed for most of yesterday to allow Gardaí to examine the scene but it has since reopened.
Gardaí are keen to speak to the occupants of a white car travelling from the direction of Carrickmacross towards Ardee at approximately 8:50pm on Saturday evening to make contact.
They are also appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward and for any road users who may have dashcam footage to contact them.
