The N2 between Carrickmacross and Ardee was closed last night following a non-fatal RTC. Gardaí attended the scene of the collision involving a motorcyclist and an articulated lorry at Rathory, Ardee.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with serious injuries. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
The N2 was closed from the time of the incident at around 8:15 and didn't re-open until 5:30 this morning. Garda enquiries are continuing.
