The N2 has reopened following a fatal crash yesterday.
A man in his 40s died after his car collided with a lorry shortly after 2pm yesterday afternoon.
The lorry driver was uninjured.
The crash occurred between Carrickmacross and Ardee near Cookstown and the road was closed while the scene was examined.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, or anyone with dashcam footage, who was in the area at the time, to get in contact with Ardee Garda Station.
