A woman in her 70s who was murdered at her home will be laid to rest this afternoon.
Mary Bergin, who was originally from Cootehill was found dead at her house at First Avenue, off Seville Place, in the north inner city, on April 12th.
The funeral mass of the late Mary Bergin took place this morning at 10am at St Laurence O'Toole Church, Seville Place, North Wall, Dublin, and will be followed by burial at St Michael's Cemetery, Cootehill, Co Cavan.
Meanwhile, a woman charged with her murder was too ill to attend court yesterday.
She was due to appear at Dublin District Court, however a sick note was provided explaining she could not attend.
Judge Bryan Smyth remanded her in continuing custody in her absence and adjourned the case for two weeks.
