A murder investigation is under way following the discovery of the body of an elderly man at his home in Co. Kerry.
A man in his 60s is still being questioned following the death of 84 year old Paddy O'Mahony Senior in Castlemaine on Sunday.
He is believed to have been shot in the chest - but no firearm was recovered at the scene. The man arrested is being held under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held up to seven days.
