A mural recognising the sporting achievements of Eugene 'Nudie' Hughes has been erected in Castleblayney.
The mural is on York Street, next door to where the Hughes family raised their ten children.
The artwork was commissioned by the Castleblayney Regeneration Town Team and the artist is Ciaran Dunlevy.
The Castleblayney Faughs man won nine Senior Football Championships and two Ulster Football Championships with the club, as well as three Senior Hurling Championships.
Nudie Hughes also won three Ulster Championships with Monaghan, picking up three All Stars along the way.
The Castleblayney Regeneration Town Team say it hopes to celebrate the mural properly when the time allows.
